A Kuwaiti army officer has died as a result of the injuries he sustained in an early morning bar brawl in south Pattaya on Saturday morning.
Mr Ahmad Eha Abdullah, 29, was stabbed in the arm and both legs when he and his nephew, Sami Joha, were attacked following a heated argument with two fellow countrymen in the Titanic bar.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 4am rushing the injured men to Pattaya Memorial Hospital but medical staff were unable to save the victim and he was pronounced dead a short time after his arrival.
The two suspects, identified as Adel Zain Owayed and Mohammad Habeeb Suwayer, both bedoons from Taima in Jahra, were arrested and questioned by police, however, neither of the men are co-operating.
The victims nephew Mr Sami was discharged from hospital after receiving treatment to a slash wound on his ear.
Kuwait’s Ambassador to Thailand, Abdullah Al Sharhan, said on Saturday the embassy was aware of the murder and officials were closely monitoring the situation.
